On Friday I was part of an amazing reading for the latest edition of the Freiburg Review. It was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and we traveled throughout the exhibition listening to different readers as we went.
And while I don’t think my reading was recorded, I will say that it was spectacular. The poem I read, Sîmir, is one of the most powerful things I have ever written, and to read it outloud was like an incantation. It didn’t hurt that it was also around the lunar eclipse time.
But it got me thinking that I have a lot of friends and family and blog readers who aren’t able to see me read. So why not do a virtual reading? So I put together a video of me reading part of my book, including a bit of an introduction, which was pretty fun. Let me know what you think!
